We took advantage of the mild weather last weekend to participate in two of my husband’s favorite summer activities . . . County Fairs & Tractor shows. I will admit that my attendance at these events usually takes a bit of compormise and convincing, but hey that is marriage.
This year was different though, seeing things through my daughter’s eyes , watching her experiencing the sights and smells for the first time made the whole journey more exciting. I love how she changes me and makes pay attention to what is around me. So this year, instead of rushing through to just get out of there, I took my time to enjoy, watch, and listen.
A, always in the first stare of fashion, was rocking her sun hat & pink bow as we took in the sights and smells of the county fair.
We stopped to visit the animals, but A has been a bit leery of farm animals since our recent trip to the petting zoo. Apparently, the fall out occurred when the goats kept taking what she thought were her crackers … Little did she know they were goat crackers and the goat probably did her a favor. Although I can’t confirm with certainty, I don’t think goat crackers are very tasty.
A stroll through the museum of days past had me thankful that I was born in the 20th century. While I am all for going back to basics, I draw my line at laundry :-/
The next day brought us to the tractor show. I took in the beauty of the valley as E took in the beauty of his beloved old tractors most of them made before I was even born
We ended the day with A grabbing a snack before we hit the road. I shamelessly nursed her in public sans cover, but the great thing about the country is nobody cared.

Isn’t it amazing how we see things so different when there is a child along for the ride?! We just took a road trip and as stressful as traveling with a toddler can be at times, I actually think I had way more fun than the last time we took this trip only my husband and I. Love that sun hat and the baby-wearing daddy pic

Looks like you guys had a wonderful time. It is funny my son just did an article of how we use to do laundry. He said, mom I am glad you have a washing machine, lol. Great pics!
